How often should I have my floors professionally cleaned?
There are many variables to this question. What does your carpet manufacture recommend in order to maintain the warranty? How much foot traffic does your household create? What environmental conditions are in your neighborhood? Answer: Typically an extensive cleaning should take place every twelve to eighteen months, with periodic interim (traffic lanes only) cleanings every three to six months.
What is the standard drying time for freshly cleaned carpets?
On a normal sunny California day, dry times range from four to six hours. Atmospheric conditions play a part in this due to humidity levels, temperatures and even the amount of air circulation in the cleaned areas. We strongly encourage running A/C or heater units as these systems are dehumidifiers that actually take moisture out of the air and increase overall air circulation.
Will my carpet re-soil quickly after cleaning?
Not with Tota-Lee Clean. We take into account every possible factor to eliminate everything that could cause rapid re-soiling. We clean at temperatures that exceed 200 degrees to break down oils and grease, combined with cleaning agents that are extremely aggressive, yet gentle enough to rinse freely and keep your warranty valid. Lastly, we use soft water to guarantee the absolute softest finished product that is residue free.
Do flooring protectants really work?
Absolutely! The chemistry involved in today’s protectants not only help guard against soiling problems, making vacuuming results better, but they also help with the stain resistance needed to protect against oils, grease, and common food group mishaps that happen on a regular basis. This not only helps to protect the appearance of your flooring, but also your investment.
What cleaning method is best?
This is a subject of much controversy. Anyone in the industry will defend the method that they use. In 1991 when I first got involved in the industry, I had the same question. After much research, I made my decision on two factors alone:

1)  What cleaning method do carpet manufacturers recommend for their products?
2)  Common sense. Science has proven that it takes three things to properly clean something:
Temperature (over 180 degree’s),
Agitation (scrubbing action to break soil loose), and
Chemical (cleaning agents).

Compare other methods and see for yourself where they fall short. I firmly believe all methods have their place and purpose. You should ask if that place is in your home.

We believe that truck-mount hot water extraction is the most thorough cleaning process available to you, and guarantee the final results to be
